This birthday was certainly different, but by far the most meaningful one I have celebrated yet. I felt so much gratitude toward my parents for having and raising me - a perspective that I've never quite had before. Its amazing to realize how they poured over me and met my every need just as Dustin and I are doing these days for Ila. Such a beautiful cycle.
The birthday week started with Dustin taking me out on a big hot date Saturday night to City House while Mom kept Ila. Then Dustin was in New Mexico for a few days, so Mom came to stay with us. Mom watched Ila as I got a massage that morning and then took us to lunch at the swanky Hutton Hotel on West End. Ila just so happened to be ultra-cute that day!
Then Mom made red velvet cupcakes...
And Dad came in town later that week and Dustin came back and we celebrated with BBQ.
